Why not just shoot with Digital Cameras?
I have shot both simultaneously for many years, but in this phase of my career I want to simplify and focus. The choice to simplify my approach I believe will ultimately enable me to produce a better photography collection. Quality over quantity. Find out more about why I believe this is important on my “Why Film?” page.
I love the concept, but I am worried about using film for my wedding. What about backups?
I will have a second photographer shooting along side me with digital throughout the day. They will also take care of any group photos that we need.
Do you shoot any digital?
I will shoot limited digital if lighting does not allow for film, but my primary mode of photography for the day will be film.
Do you have a second photographer?
Yes, I do have the option of a second photographer who can photograph digitally to back up my work as well as photograph family group photos.
since it is film, Will I receive any digital Version of the photos?
Yes, you will receive digital versions of the film photographs (as seen on this website) as well as a set of physical prints.
what exactly is film anyway?
Film is the way all photographs were made before the late 1990’s. It consists of making an image with photographic film vs. a digital sensor. The film is then scanned to produce a digital version of the image (as seen on this website). Film has a different look and feel than an image produced by a digital camera or smartphone sensor. Find out more about the differences and why I love it on my “Why Film?” page.
